Moved Caven outside

Moved Caven outside yesterday, gave him a good watering and fertilized him with Fruit Fuel.  I started this plant from a 4" pot pup in July 22 of last year as a gift from my wife so he is now 11 months old.

Moved under the tree as the bright sun on the tender indoor leaves started to burn as can be expected. The newer leaves will be more outdoor tolerant.

Fruit Fuel Fertilizer

I have been using 16-8-24 Fruit Fuet Fertilizer from on my pot grown SDC(Super Dwarf Cavendish) and it has been showing much bigger leaves since I have been using it.  The only other change I made about the same time was to move my Caven from a 16 Gallon to a 21 Gallon pot.   So this could have some bearing on growth as well.   Never the less the Fruit Fuel got my SDC through the shock process very well with just the loss of five older leafs over a period of a couple weeks.

My 21 gallon pot grown SDC is currently putting out 23" leafs.

The Pups(new starts) that stayed with "Caven" during the move from the 16 Gallon to the 21 gallon did not skip a beat and kept on growing without any interruption.   I was introduced to Fruit Fuel at Bananas.org.

Be Fruitful And Become Many.

~ I  fertilized my Cavendish and 2 Tomato plants with Grow More Fruit Fuel that I received from Plants That Produce. It seems to need watering about twice a month while indoors.

~ The first pups P-stem is 5" tall.  There are 7 pups of various sizes.  Cavendish is now 12.25" in circumference with a 17" tall P-stem.

Fertilizing:Grow More 16-8-24 Fruit Fuel
Manufacturer's Guidelines: ~ Overview: Dissolve in water before using. For periodic feeding throughout the growing season, use 1 tablespoon / gallon as soil drench or inline fertigation. For periodic foliar instead, use 1 teaspoon per gallon.
~ General Dosage: 1 Tablespoon / 1 gallon / 1 month
My Notes~ I usually water around twice a month when my bananas are indoors. There are 3 teaspoons in a in a Tablespoon. Therefore to be adding 1 Tablespoon a month I added at a rate of 1.5 teaspoons each of my 2 monthly waterings.
